Nimai opens cooking classes

Nimai's Kitchen is partnering with The Wooly to present a new cooking class series at the Wooly.

Those Who Sauté Together Stay Together

All of the classes will be led by Nimai Larson and she is offering her vegetarian culinary experience and inclusive class atmosphere.starting either November 8th or 15th. The theme iof these classes are Fall Harvest from the Swamp. Recipes will be paired with a exclusive First Magnitude Brewery beer tasting. The class will be cooking a couple of Thanksgiving-inspired dishes prepared in a tasty, yet healthy way:

zzGLOBbullet Mashed Potatoes with Rosemary Pine Nut Gravy

zzGLOBbullet Maple Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Cranberries

zzGLOBbullet Spiced Acorn Squash Butter

$35 includes the class, a light snack to munch on while cooking, iced tea or soda, and a beer or glass of wine. During the class you will consider new methods of vegetarian cooking for Thanksgiving. You'll also get to take home one of Nimai's original recipes. Come prepared with an apron.

Nimai's passion for cooking emanates from writing about food on popular blogs, recipes for albums that were being released and Nimai also has an online cookbook.   Nimai recipes were featured in Real Food, Real Kitchens' newest cookbook– Real Food, Real Kitchens: New York Cookbook– where her recipes were selected to be on the cover.

Nimai teaches cooking and nutrition to local Gainesville participants Through her cooking career, and has taught people, young and old, anywhere from age 3 in a rural Montessori school to adults in Gainesville, Washington DC, Detroit, Melbourne and New York City.
