Good morning GLOBers. Back in the day of working in UF Department of Entomology and Nematology I chuckled Monday mornings when the office ladies gathered around the coffee counter on Monday morning and relived their weekend in a show-and-tell fashion. To steal a line from the GLOB's bicycle boy Ron Cunningham this is why I love Gainesville on a Saturday night:
FIVE STAR: Dinner at Harry's Seafood Bar & Grille Caesar Salad with Blackened Mahi, and the Crab and Eggplant Napolean stared the evening off with perfectly delicious tastes and flavors of yummy cheese, and extraordinary fried eggplant with a wonderful fresh, spicy, cream sauce and crab topping.
FIVE STAR: GLOB Staffer Nicole Caldwell is correct about the Acrosstown Repertory Theatre's production The Rocky Horror Show being fabulous. ART Actor Dean Antone Carvalho as Dr. Frank N' Furter is one of the best acting performance I have seen in quite some time.
FIVE and- a-half STAR: The Uppercrust Bakery James Beard Chocolate Cake with Callebaut Belgian chocolate, crème fraiche, sea salt, sour cream, cocoa powder and coffee topped the evening off with a stupendous, unforgettable taste bud party.
SIX STAR: UF Health educator, Ayuervedic Practicioner, soon-to-be-GLOB-Ayuervedic-Health-Coach-Columnist, and good friend Chaya Sharon-Heller was delightful company, excellent conversationalist, and connisseur of all things Saturday night.
See GLOBers there are way many more interesting things happening in the bright lights of Gainesville than you might think.
