080417Narritive6:00: Art As Narrative, 4Most Gallery, 534 SW 4th Ave, Art + Technology presents a culmination of creative student works presented as an amalgam of creative video, interactive digital art, and select analogue sculptures and prints. Snacks and beverages will be provided on a first-come first-serve basis. The University of Florida School of Art + Art History's storefront art gallery features a variety of student, graduate, and alumni artwork for sale to the general public.

7:30: Blood Simple, OPENING NIGHT!, Hipp Cinema, various days, times. The Debut Film By Joel and Ethan Coen (Fargo, No Country For Old Men, The Big Lebowski). The newly restored and re-edited director's cut of the film premiered at film festivals in 1984. "Blood Simple" begins deep in the heart of Texas, where a jealous saloon owner hires a cheap divorce detective to kill the saloon owner's younger wife and her bartender lover.

5:00: Meditations on Their Tenuous Beauty, Rivers & Streams photo exhibit, Lynne Buchanan- Photographer, Rum 138, Ft. White, 2070 Southwest County Road 138. A one person photography exhibit by nationally recognized N. Floridian Lynne Buchanan. Images of Florida rivers and streams demonstrating Lynn's protective nature of Florida's springs and waterways. 6:30: Moonlight Paddle, Ichetucknee Springs State Park. Ranger-guided canoe paddle down the Ichetucknee River as the sun sets and full moon begins to illuminate the river. Listen to the sounds of a day's end and a night's awakening! Paddlers should bring a small light source for the end of the trip. Paddling dates and times listed below.
