111816Beatles36 pm: Deconstructing The Beatles' White Album, Hipp Cinema, Downtown, various days, times. Composer/producer Scott Freiman takes Beatles fans young and old into the studio with The Beatles as they create their bestselling album, The Beat (commonly referred to as the White Album). Released in 1968, the White Album's 30 songs span almost every style of music—from hard rock to country to chamber music to avant garde. FOLLOW THIS LINK for more information

7 pm: DJ Josh Ange, Depot Park Friday, 200 Southeast Depot Ave. Selecting a digital memory full of your favorite songs. Audience members will enjoy meeting the man and his music.


111816Garage8 pm: Gainesville's Greatest Garage Sale, Gainesville Regional Airport. A morning of shopping to benefit the March of Dimes. More than 100 booths will be available in a field along the runway. FOLLOW THIS LINK for more information.


10 pm: Quilt and Bluegrass Festival, Thornebrook Village. Over 75 quilts from Gainesville, Alachua County, and the surrounding counties in a non-juried exhibition of traditional and modern quilts made by quilters of all levels – beginner to advanced alike. FOLLOW THIS LINK for more information.


6 pm: 18th Annual Trashformations, Florida Museum of Natural History, SW 34th St and Hull Rd. Alachua County middle school, high school, and college students transform "waste" into creative works of art! Winning entries from will be displayed through Monday, Nov. 28. 7 pm: Swing Theory, Depot Park, 200 Southeast Depot Ave. Live on the main stage. Come out for swing music and an opportunity to dance.



8:00: Hipp Day's Night, Hippodrome Theater, Downtown. Beatles music performed by THE THREETLES live. Listen and sing along to the classic tunes you know and love from nearly all of the albums starting with "Meet the Beatles" in 1964 to Let it B" in 1970.




9 am-4 pm: Citrus Watercolor Club's Fall Show and Sale, Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, 4150 S. Suncoast Blvd. (US 19), Homosassa, FL – 90 min from Gainesville. The Citrus Watercolor Club will be holding its Fall Arts in the Park exhibit and sale in the Visitor Center featuring the artwork of local watercolorists. Originals, prints, and cards will be available for purchase. The Citrus Watercolor Club donates 20% of sales from the show to the Friends of Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park. ALSO: Visitors can see West Indian manatees every day of the year from the park's underwater observatory in the main spring.



Noon-4 pm: MKR Tenant House Open House, Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park, 18700 S. CR 325, Cross Creek. Come explore Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings' historical tenant house and learn about the families who lived there. During this open house, a park volunteer will be available to assist and answer questions about its history.
