We made popcorn later that afternoon, and I used a small pat of ghee instead of butter in the topping. According to my daughter, that, too, was "the tastiest ever."

    Hi Mike, I'd like to comment on the last paragraph regarding the shelf life, which seems to vary depending upon what source and method of preparation are used. In traditional methods of preparation in India, and Ayurvedic medicine, ghee improves with age.
