El Indio, 13th St.

El Indio, 13th St.

ElIndioThe suggestion was made by my lunch partner of  El Indio and their new patio on NW 13th St. recently. I quickly thought of the El Indio's little pie pans of Mexican red sauce, flavored peppers, onions, and cilantro, and corn tortillas coated with melted cheese. El Indio is the perfect place for Meatless Monday. With all of the South of the border spices, flavors of corn, cheese, beans, and veggies you don't need no stinkin' meat protein for lunch. But you do need your Mexican MDR of a crispy, veggie-fresh, black bean taco with cheese and spicy hot sauce. My lunch pal, that wishes to remain namesless and I also shared some yummy, creamy guacamole and crunchy tortilla chips. The GLOB Master opted for two enchiladas -- black bean and veggie w/beans -- and the aforementioned hard shell taco. You know GLOBers there is no bigger red meat protein guy than the GLOB Master. With all the flavors, textures, melted gooey goodness of this lunch the added meat protein would have been OK . . . But as I ate from my Mexican, aluminum lunch pan of spicy flavored goodness, I didn't even notice meat was missing.

Hi Kristin! Congratulations for winning the first GLOB Free lunch For Two!

I did a feature on the El Indio on NW 34th Street And you added a comment to my story. I'm guessing you looked at the NW 13Th El Indio that doesn't have a feature story . . .

You're gonna love the CHOW NOW FOOD TRUCK!
