Happy Tuesday!

120319ChristmasA

GLOBmaster2017Hmmmm . . .  The first Tuesday in December.  All right GLOB we can start talking Christmas now.  I have an idea!  Make all the gifts you purchases this year the local variery.  There are so many local artists and vendors I'm sure you can find just the right gift with good shopping certitude on your part.  Checking out the vendors list on the Union St. Downtown Farmers Market vendors page would be a good place to start hunting Christmas gift ideas.

121019Scrooge

SCROOGE IN ROUGE -  When the “Royal Music Hall Variety Players” come to perform, “A Christmas Carol”, a bad case of food poisoning leaves only three surviving members to soldier on through a performance originally intended for a cast of twenty!   This quick-witted, cross-dressing version of the Charles Dickens classic, done in the style of the British Music Hall, abounds in bad puns, bawdy humor, and witty songs. SCROOGE will be showing at the Hipp on various days and times through Dec. 22

“Scrooge in Rouge proves to be a delightful shared experience… encouraging waves of laughter with its well-timed one-liners and treasure trove of double-entendres.”

– Richmond Times-Dispatch

120319FarmersMarket

120219TUSCAN

I received a nice note for the FAT TUSCAN's Michelle Reeves I wanted to share to all the cooking foodies.  And B-T-W if you need a tester for any of those classes the GLOB Master will be happy to offer his services:

Just wanted to send you all a little note wishing you a happy and healthy Thanksgiving and to let you know that we posted our 2020 Cooking Class Schedule. Feel free to go check it out on our website, www.fattuscan.com, during your post turkey-coma-can't-move down time and hopefully you will find a few classes you would like to attend. If you see something you like, sign up soon as the classes tend to fill up quickly during the holiday's for the first part of our Schedule in the New Year. Or, of course, purchase a few for friends and family as gifts this year because sharing experiences is the best way to create lasting memories. ....side note: Memories associated with smells are some of the strongest memories in the brain so ya know, if you want Aunt Gladys to remember you in her will for that fine porcelain fruit bowl then buy her a class cause good smells are going to be had in our classes for sure! ha.

- Chef Michelle

Have you got any lunch plans yet GLOBers?  Let the GLOB Master know where you will be lunching out and I can deliver all the brain food you can absord fresh and ready to enjoy . . .

GARDEN & GUN GIFT GUIDE:  To Tracy Woodard, every bite of food and scrap of fabric has a story to tell. “People should know where the food they’re putting in their bodies and the fibers they have in their homes come from,” Woodard says. One morning in December 2017, Woodard awoke from a dream with the answer: simple blankets elegantly woven out of their highest-quality upland cotton."
