Comment of the Day!

The Univ Ave Tijuana Flats is always packed on Tuesdays but the service is the best.  While waiting in line they get you your drink and even though the restaurant is overflowing they make sure you always have drink.  Food is great!  People at the registers are very helpful.  If you don't mind a crowd this is a great place.  Same great food and Tuesday special at the Archer location just with less crowd.

Happy Monday!

Good morning GLOBers, The first thing I need to know this morning does anyone have a problem with National Chocolate Chip Day?  Nestle initially included a small chopping tool with the chocolate bars. Starting in 1941,  Nestle and other competitors started selling the chocolate in chip or morsel form.  Semi-sweet was the original flavor of chocolate chips.  Today the chocolates come in bittersweet, semi-sweet, mint, white chocolate, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, and white and dark swirled.   Did anyone hear that pleasant sounding rain over Hoggetowne early this morning?  That was nice timing as I was thinking my pepper plants could use a drink in the middle of a very warm Sunday afternoon.  Checking the weather map it appears we have a weather system sitting over Florida that could be creating bad weather all day.  The GLOB Master's suggestions is you find your rain boots and umbrellas before heading out to lunch today.

CMC Movie Monday:  Tonight's Civic Media Center's Movie is Trumping DemocracyA 2017 documentary, Thomas Huchon's film  goes into the data mining of our most recent election.  Donald Trump's victory was engineered by ultra-conservative billionaire Robert Mercer. Buying Breitbart News, he inserted Steve Bannon, and Cambridge Analytica into the campaign. Show time is 7:00 for this free film in which donations are appreciated.
