Comment of the Day!

Ditto on that Rosey.   Maybe I will buy you a Bagel Bakery lunch there sometime.  I like their wrap sandwiches, especially the Cocky Curry Chicken on Tomato Basil Wrap.  Proprietor is a good guy and has good rapport with his young employees.  A true neighborhood place.  Their bagels are locally grown and free range and not grown on one of those large bagel farms in Ohio.  Further, it feels good to support small business.

Happy Tuesday!

GLOBmaster2017Good morning GLOBers and a very happy May 8.  Come on now the GLOB Master heard somebody out there humming this John Sebastion tune to themselves. Were you aware of the fact that today in 1975 John Sebastian, former member of the the Lovin’ Spoonful, was asked towrite and record the theme song for a brand-new ABC television show with the working title Kotter. Sebastian came up with a song about finding your true calling in a life you thought you’d left behind. That song, Welcome Back, not only went on to become a #1 pop single on this day in 1976, but it also led the show’s producers to change its title to Welcome Back, Kotter.

The Swamp Restaurant

The Swamp's "Pick-It" Burgers (a nod to the Swamp's very nice white picket fence) come with lettuce, tomato, and onion, and you can pick extra toppings. We decided on only one addition: the poblano aioli. It did not necessarily make you notice it, but at some point we both remembered it - READ MORE

'I ate just potatoes for three days'

My friend told me about the “Potato Hack,” I immediately responded with derision. That’s stupid. I hardly ever ate potatoes in my normal diet. Then I did the research and it was intriguing enough I actually decided to try it for a few days. All in the name of science, of course. - READ MORE
