Comment of the Day!

The Univ Ave Tijuana Flats store is always packed on Tuesdays but the service is the best.  While waiting in line they get you your drink and even though the restaurant is overflowing they make sure you always have drink.  Food is great!  People at the registers are very helpful.  If you don't mind a crowd this is a great place.  Same great food and Tuesday special at the Archer location just with less crowd.

Way back in the golden years I started listening to the best radio station on the planet Austin, Texas singer Toni Price was in the regular kPIG tune rotation with her excellent version of the Funky. Immediately struck by her sexy southern voice I was taken with sassy twang and a confident, smart delivery of her music.

FROM ALLMUSIC.com:

042518Toni250Although critics have heaped praise on her gifted phrasing and delivery at her live shows and on both of her albums, the title of singer/songwriter is an inappropriate one for Price; the latter part of the title doesn't apply to her. In an interview in Austin, Price said she's never had the inspiration or desire to write songs, and figures she wasn't given that talent.

I never get tired of Toni Price tunes. When I make new friends who are music lovers I give them a copy of Toni's disk Midnight Pumpkin. The songs are powerful statement of an independent women making it on her own. Thank you for the love epitomizes her style with a hint of sarcasm in the songs chorus. Or, is that sarcasm or pain coming from those lines . . .?

You call me in the mornin', tellin' me you love me,
Tellin' me you need me, makes everything all right.
You give me good feelings,
I want to thank you for the love.
Thank you for the heartache
Thank you for the tears I've cried,
Thank you for all those lies.
- Thank You for the love
- Toni Price
