Happy Tuesday!

120517METOO

GLOBmaster2017Good morning GLObers!  I had a real "I'm not going to take it any more" experience last weekend.  I came across the image above and decided it was time for the GLOB Master to include his two cents. I'm impressed with the resilience of the #ME TOO movement. I have a friend that wrote a very eloquent #Me Too and I would like to share the smart, profound statement at the end of her post:

"Now that I have a son, I know that my conversations with him are going to be even more purposeful and conscientious. He needs to learn that women are to be respected. That talking about a woman's body in a workplace, giving an unwanted touch, or making suggestive comments to a stranger are never ok. As parents, we need to put more of a focus on teaching boys how to treat woman. Otherwise, they grow up to be men who continue to contribute to the #MeToo phenomena.

#ME TOO IS A GOOD THING: All right GLOBers it is time for the GLOB Master to make a stand about the #ME TOO phenomena.  I found a local #ME TOO post that explains the movement much better than the GLOB Master ever could.

Daily GLOB ROCK MUSIC FACTOID: Today in 1987 the Jesus And Mary Chain were banned from appearing on a US music TV show after complaints of blasphemy when the group's name was flashed across the screen. The CBS show asked the band to be called JANC but the group didn't agree.
