There is no question that Blue Highway has the best pizza in town. No one comes even close. You can tell that everything is fresh. The service is always great too.

Every time I hear Shakey Graves singing, we were hard wired my mind travels through a myriad of thoughts and images of a guy and his woman, best friend, comrade completely enmeshed in a relationship that has evolved into a supreme oneness. Thanks to the best radio station on the planet Shakey Graves has netred into my life with a powerful song of the abstract meaning of love.

113017Graves200Shakey Graves is the stage name of singer, songwriter, and guitarist Alejandro Rose-Garcia. Born in Austin, Texas on June 4, 1987, Rose-Garcia grew up in a family that encouraged his creative pursuits -- his mother was an actress who also worked as a director and writer, while his father managed a theater. Drawing inspiration from Log, Rose-Garcia began crafting a stage persona for Shakey Graves, using foot pedals to keep the beat with a tambourine and a bass drum fashioned from a suitcase, while playing music he dubbed "hobo folk." As audiences were impressed by his music, charisma, and talent for spinning tales, it evolved from a part-time home-brewed music project into a growing presence on the Austin music

All right GLOBers Shakey Graves could very well have written a metaphorical minefield when he composed Hard Wired. But that’s all right, it’s OK. I find the lyrics We were hard wired, really getting home for me. The idea of being in love in spite of all the mess, emotions, drugs . . . the world in general. Shakey Graves has a woman he really indentified with. I’m envious. I get it. I want a friend, a relationship with a woman. “As close as shoelaces on my shoe.”

'Cause I am as I was
And I stay here because
The truth always was
We were hard-wired
- Hard wired
-- Shakey Graves

113017DuckHeadWell it appears the GLOB Master has created the typo of the year yesterday when I was informing readers about the Garden & Gun Gift Guide.  The GLOB Master said the Purdy silver plated duck head bottle opener was a PURLY silver plated DICK HEADWhat was I thinking, talking about bad slip of  a speech error called a malapropism when a word is produced which is nonsensical or ludicrous in context, yet similar in sound to what was intended.  That typo was embarrassing, That's all I'm saying, I'm not saying any more . . .

If you're still hungry and need a good lunch idea FOLLOW THIS LINK to Gainesville's Lunch Out Blog Instagram page.  This is where the GLOB's Image Editor Erica Corbett takes great pleasure in sharing amazingly looking, deliciously yummy images of what we are thinking about, contemplating seriously, and eventually eating for lunch in the Urban GLOB.

Have a thoroughly therrific Thursday lunch GLOBer and I will see ya right here tomorrow for the best darn day of the week.
