GLOBmaster2017Good morning GLOBers and Happy National Beer Lovers Day!  Today should bring a smile to your face be it a delicious Gainesville craft beer, or the nectar my friends say borders on water more than beer,  Did you know a study by researchers from Indiana University found.the taste of beer releases a chemical in the brain which makes people want to drink more. Moreover, beer’s taste – without even any effect from alcohol – can trigger the production of dopamine in the brain. Hmmm . . . maybe that;s why I can drink so much light beer.  Speaking of beer . . .



SWAMPHEAD SAUSAGE & SUDS: Every Thursday at the Wetlands come enjoy a hand crafted sausage made with humanely and sustainably raised pork with beer in hand. Mayflower Cellars creates these delicacies just a few miles from the brewery and they will be here firin’ up the grill and searing these tasty dogs for your enjoyment.


STEPS TO WELLNESS:  Meridian is hosting the Second Annual Steps to Wellness Luncheon tomorrow September 7th, 2017 at the Sweetwater Branch Inn from 11:30-1:00 pm. This fundraising luncheon will support the room expansion of the Mothers Intensive Supportive Treatment program, a residential program for mothers and their children on our Gainesville campus. Millhopper School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - The Sorting Ceremony will take place in the Great Hall at Hogwarts on September 13, 2017.  Registered students will depart the Millhopper Branch Library with a stop in Diagon Alley before arriving at Hogwarts for the official sorting.
