GLOBmaster2017

Good morning GLOBers and happy National “Eat a Peach” Day.    Oh man nothing is more perfect than biting into a fresh peach with the citrus sugars literally coating your mouth with juicy goodness.   The GLOB Master has a peach and cardamom pie recipe that brings smiles smiles all aorund with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.

Did you know Peaches are native to Northwest China, and China still produces over half of the world's peaches. Its scientific name, persica, stems from the erroneous European belief that it was native to Persia, which is present day Iran. Peaches were brought to the Americas by the Spanish in the 16th century, possibly being planted in present day Georgia as early as 1571.

YOU MIGHT KNOW GLOBERS when I hear the phrase 'Eat a peach' I immediately think fo the Allman Brothers Blues Band and how they affected my music world my entire adult life. I took Duane Allman's death really hard. there was something incredibly special about his slide guitar wizardy.  Gregg Allman's recent death still hurts my heart every time I hear him singing a great tine on the computer, or the Blues music services around town.  It's like a slice of my peach like world has been taken away . .
