Hi Mike. The most beautiful tree is the magnolia grandiflora just outside my kitchen window. I bought this tree in 2006 for $5. It was root-bound and sickly looking. I planted it, nurtured it, and this week it bloomed for the first time! Ten years of nurturing this little tree has given me joy! Your pal, Jackie Betz

I think a most beautiful tree in Gainesville is the oak on the NW corner of the Thomas Center Lawn, with limbs branching out to shade a large area so people can enjoy the area even on a very hot day.

After reading your review of The Clock, I went to their website. And there began my befuddlement. You say they are open 24 hours daily, heading your article as such, and mentioning it as a place to go after the bars close. However, on The Clock's website, they list closing hours at 10:00 weekdays. 10:30 weekend nights. Which is it? On a personal note, I went by there about 2 months ago at 11 p.m., and found them closed.

My husband and I had burgers at Square 1 the other day. Best burger I've had in a while. Thick, juicy, and cooked just the way I like it. A bit pricey for a burger but well worth it if you've got a craving.

Thank you, Mike Sanford, for organizing such a fun and tasty Whiskey Tasting event! We were privileged to try some rare whiskies and enjoy great company. A BIG thank you to Mr. Sanford for inviting me and a BIG thank you to Mojo's Hogtown Bar-B-Que for picking such delectable liquid treasures and teaching me new things about whisky! Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity!
    Sincerely,
    Erin Raughley
